Stupa is the oldest Buddhist monument. Originally stupas were built to enshrine the relics of the Buddha and his most important disciples. As symbolic representation of the enlightened mind of the Buddha, they are of great significance and importance.
Building a stupa is considered extremely beneficial, leaving very positive karmic imprints in the minds of those, involved in building.
Future benefits from this action will result in fortunate rebirths. Fortunate worldly benefits will be the result, such as being born into a rich family, having a beautiful body, a nice voice, and being attractive and bringing joy to others and having a long and happy life, in which one's wishes are fulfilled quickly.
According to the Merigar East project inspired by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and Khyentse Yeshi Namkhai, two stupas should be built inside the Longsal sign.
Project update (June 2020)
Dear Friends, due to the covid situation in first half of year 2020 and unsure possibility to travel, we have postponed the actual filling of the stupa and final gathering of all of us and enjoying this event together to summer 2021. We will keep you updated about the news.
Anyhow we keep preparing: we already started to transport many finished mantra rolls, tsa-tsa, books, precious objects to Merigar East. Now we have still some material in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary and as soon as the bordes opens, we keep continuing…
We keep preparing tsa-tsas and mantras, but we can say, that most of them are already done, just waiting for the transport. We will still need to collect some precious stones, sang powder, prepare precious vases, to make last work on the srog-shing (the life tree which goes inside the stupa) etc…
Many thanks for your generous donations. Thanks to you we can support the travel costs and next year we will need your donations to build the last wooden construction around stupa to make the filling comfortable and get two big tents to accomodate the needed material in shade. After filling we have to close the stupa, make last building works (put up the top). We would like to support our karmayogis to cover their travel expenses and accomodation in nearby village (this way also to support our neighbours), offer our hard workers some nice food, etc…
And the last touch will be to put statues into both stupas. For one stupa we already have beautiful statue of Guru Rinpoche. For the other one we would like to get statue of Mandarava, as also for this second stupa we already have many Mandarava and Khandro mantra rollsJ
We would like to make this stupa finishing a joyful celebration day(s) and we hope the circumstances will be friendly. Also we hope you can find some time and we can celebrate, practice and enjoy together!:)
Many best wishes for all beings!
