MERIGAR
EAST
Merigar East is the Gar of the Dzogchen Communities of the East-Europe
(Romania, Bulgaria, Hungaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, ex-Yugoslavia)
and of the Russian Speaking Countries: Russia, Ukraina, Estonia, Latvia
and Lithuania included. The Communities of Israel and Cipru wish to
afiliate to Merigar East for geographical reasons. According to Rinpoche's
vision, there will be a Gonpa and administrative buildings.
But at the moment Merigar East is a piece of land of 4,5 ha, 2,5 km
far from the village 23 August, which counts 5000 habitants, and is
situated on the national road Constanta-Mangalia, between Costinesti
and Olimp. "Here is just sky and earth", said Rinpoche, as
He saw for the first time the place.
In summer 2007 in Merigar East has been organised the first retreat
with Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. Almost 500 participants from over
the world came to Merigar East. This year Merigar East is playing host
for a second retreat with Rinpoche, between 14-21th of July. Preparations
are running.
